A New Home for Ethical Systems

,

Dear Ethical Systems Community,

I’m excited to announce a new chapter for Ethical Systems: we have a new home at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business!

For the past decade, Ethical Systems has been a leading voice in business ethics, bridging academia and the corporate world through its mission of transforming the ethical practice of business. Founded by Jonathan Haidt in 2014, and supported by NYU Stern’s Business and Society Program, Ethical Systems has continued to leverage academic insights—including those of its world-class collaborator network—to make a meaningful impact in business.

Now, Ethical Systems joins the Kelley School as part of the Institute for Corporate Governance and Ethics (ICGE), which I am privileged to direct. As part of this transition, the ICGE is relaunching with an expanded mission: to harness the best academic research to support scholars, policymakers, and business leaders in promoting good corporate governance and ethical business practices. Ethical Systems will serve as a cornerstone of the ICGE’s broader vision.

Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to roll out several initiatives to engage and connect with our vibrant Ethical Systems and ICGE communities:

  • A monthly speaker series featuring thought leaders in business ethics and corporate governance.
  • Summaries of cutting-edge academic research tailored to engage corporate audiences.
  • Spotlights on the work of our collaborators and affiliated faculty across the ICGE and Ethical Systems social media platforms.
  • New opportunities to connect with ICGE affiliates, Ethical Systems collaborators, industry partners, and the larger business ethics community.
  • And much more!

We invite you to join us in celebrating this exciting new chapter by sharing this announcement and the accompanying article with your networks.

A special thank you goes out to Jonathan Haidt and Alison Taylor, Ethical Systems’ executive director for the past five years, for their vision, leadership, and continued commitment to Ethical Systems.

I look forward to advancing our collective mission of fostering good corporate governance and the ethical practice of business for years to come.

Best,

Todd Haugh
